Rameshwaram is one of India’s oldest temple towns that hold high regards amid the Hindu pilgrims. Along with that is another sacred city, Madurai in Tamil Nadu that is home to ancient shrines and temples. And with Thrillophilia’s Chennai to Rameshwaram tour package you and your loved ones can go on a spiritual sojourn across the temples in these two cities and attain peace.
Day 1 of the Chennai to Rameshwaram package, you will be welcomed by our representative who will then take you on a temple tour in Madurai. You will first visit the Meenakshi Annam temple – this Dravidian style temple sits on the banks of river Vaigai, and is dedicated to Goddess Meenakshi who is a form of Parvati. From there you will go to Thiruparankundram – it is a 6th-century temple dedicated to Lord Murugan. You will also love the rock carvings here.
Besides these, you will also travel to the Kallazhagar Temple in Alagar Koyil village, Koodal Azhagar Temple and Pazhamudircholai Temple.By the end of it, you will travel to Rameshwaram.
Day 2, will be a continuation of the temple tour where you will visit significant holy sites in Rameshwaram. You will start with the Panchamukhi Hanuman Temple and Hanuman Bridge. From there, you will stop by India’s first sea bridge, Pamban Bridge.Further, you will be driving to Dhanushkodi – a nearby town, it has beaches and temples that you will be exploring.
Later, you will conclude the day with a visit to the Kashi Vishwanath Temple and 24 Kundalas, and the Ramanathaswamy Temple – this is one of the 12 Jyotirlinga temples in India.
Day 3, of the Chennai to Rameshwaram tour will be the end of a memorable holiday. You will depart from Rameshwaram to get to the airport or railway station in Madurai for your journey onwards.
As you arrive at Madurai airport/ railway station, our representative will meet you and will take you for a sightseeing tour as per your Chennai to Rameshwaram tour package.
Our first stop is Meenakshi Amman, this temple is located on the banks of river Vaigai and is dedicated to Goddess Meenakshi , a form of Goddess Parvati.
Our next stop is Thiruparankundram temple, a beautiful temple which worships the deity of Lord Murugan, a form of Lord Kartikey.
Next, we will be visiting Kallazhagar Temple in Alagar Kovil village, Koodal Azhagar Temple, and Pazhamudircholai Temple.
After the temple tour, start your journey to Rameshwaram in the evening.
